further messing with the tree from the met.
after a painfully long time of asking, i forcefully added gia bao tran (gb) to the guest gallery. gb’s a good friend and drawing buddy, but it wasn’t until threats of bodily harm were levied against him, that gb finally contributed anything (and by contribute, i mean he allowed me to use a readymade piece of art from his website). needless to say, he’s a talented boy, check out his work.
i couldn’t decide which version of this drawing to post (i accidentally first scanned it in black and white, and really liked the grey tones).
the original plan was to draw tourists, but tended to be squirmy. however, i met gene who works at the rockefeller center and was more than happy to be drawn (thanks for posing, gene). also, i was looking at some old screenprints, hence the coloring style variation. oh yeah, fun new brush pen too.
the clinton foundation has joined together with the american heart association to form the alliance for a healthier generation. in an effort to combat childhood obesity, they just launched a new site called the movement. this site contains ads, guerilla postings for kids, a games show, and a look into the not too distant future (with eben envisioned drawings).
visit the movement.
