i went drawing with steph and victor to the american museum of natural history, which is not a bad way to beat the heat apart from the getting there (i should note, however, that the museum was jammed packed with summer camp kids, but more than anything they were amusing and only a bit loud). i hadn’t been to this museum in quite some time, and they have added and reworked a number of sections, though personally i find the most impressive parts to be the original dioramas (alaskan moose diorama, american bison). great for drawing, and the animals keep much better still then they do at the zoo.

no animals were hurt in the drawing of these moose, bison, longhorn sheep and mastadon, however, it must be said that they were already dead and stuffed, except for the mastadon.
